Not much to see. Xena and Gabrielle are brought back to a present-day science lab. The scene begins as one of the scientists has just finished cutting off Gabrielle's hair.
I think the actress had already had her hair cut short and this was the show's way of explaining why the character suddenly had a modern pixie hairdo.

Alti holds Gabrielle up by the hair, and Xena throws her chakram and chops off Gabrielle's tresses so that she falls to the ground.
